In 2020, when Covid-19 made it impossible for me to return to my seasonal work in the USA, I suddenly found myself at a crossroads. Like so many others, my plans were put on hold — and for the first time in a long while, I had to ask myself, what now?
Instead of feeling stuck, I chose to see it as an opportunity. An opportunity to build something meaningful right here at home in South Africa. That moment of uncertainty became the starting point of my business.
I’ve always understood how busy and overwhelming modern life can be, which is why I focus on creating convenient, thoughtful products that genuinely make everyday life a little easier. This business isn’t just about what I make — it’s about how I make it.
Being a local business matters deeply to me. I consciously source materials locally, work closely with fellow artisans, partner with a small printing company for our labels, and choose eco-friendly packaging wherever possible. Each decision is intentional, guided by a desire to support our community and reduce our impact on the planet.
